Drug Seizure

Dear Resident

Officers from Edgbaston & Harborne stopped a vehicle yesterday and was searched under the misuse of drugs act as there was a national computer marker on the vehicle that it was believed to be linked with drug dealing. On searching the vehicle and the driver an amount of cash was seized from the driver and around £4000 of class A drugs were found in the drivers door pocket. Driver was arrested for Possession with intent to supply Drugs, the money was seized and the vehicle was also seized for being used in crime.

The offender had 2 mobile phones on him which have also been seized and will be forensically downloaded as we believe on of the phones was the dealer phone which might lead to further intelligence and arrests.

We are working hard to keep the streets safe for everyone and this is the latest job that helps us to achieve this.
